    The International Special Events Society (ISES) is comprised of over 7,200 professionals in over 38 countries representing special event planners and producers (from festivals to trade shows), caterers, decorators, florists, destination management companies, rental companies, special effects experts, tent suppliers, audio-visual technicians, event and convention coordinators, balloon artists, educators, journalists, hotel sales managers, specialty entertainers, convention center managers, and many more professional disciplines.

What Does ISES Mean?
Professional Development and Certification
Affiliation with local chapters provides education and idea exchanges. ISES provides an opportunity for members to stay on top of industry trends through educational programs, the annual conference ISES Eventworld, and other ISES-sponsored classes. ISES offers accreditation through the Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) program.

Recognition
ISES honors industry excellence through its prestigious awards program, the ISES Esprit Awards. The Esprit Awards fuel a spirit of competition within designated categories. The categories within the Esprit De Corps Awards recognize the best and most creative within the special events industry. Esprit Awards gain global visibility and recognition for ISES members through general participation.

Since 2006 ISES Arizona has acknowledged the achievements and creativity of its membership through the“The Zonies “Awards program. The awards program was developed to acknowledge and honor Arizona industry professionals and their finest examples of creativity, planning, strategic management, resourcefulness and successful solutions throughout the year. The awards offer multiple categories that represent the different disciplines within the events industry.

Being an ISES Zonie Award recipient provides the distinct competitive advantage to present your award-winning event or program to customers, potential clients, vendors and colleagues. The award reminds your industry peers of your team's hard work, creativity, uniqueness, accomplishments and industry expertise.

The 2012 Zonies Banquet will be emceed by Jason Christopher. He has been in the radio broadcast industry for over 20 years. He can be heard doing traffic reports on 102.5 KNIX, Eva 95.5, 99.9 KEZ and AM 550 KFYI. He is also the co-host of Healthy U TV on Cox 7 AZ and owner of Muscleman Music & More, Your DJ & Event Planning Company.
